Our Rector: The Reverend Joseph Winsler
Fr. Joseph and Mka. Sophia hail from Dayton, OH. Originally raised Pentecostal, Fr. Joseph has served in pastoral ministry in several Protestant churches and also as a secondary Christian Studies educator. After converting to Orthodoxy, he completed two programs of study at Saint Vladimir’s Orthodox Theological Seminary in New York. He was ordained to the holy diaconate on the Feast of Sts. Athanasius and Cyril of Alexandria (Jan. 18) in 2025, and then on Thomas Sunday of the same year he was ordained to the holy priesthood. Upon graduation from the Th.M. program, Fr. Joseph was immediately assigned as Rector of St John’s. The Winslers have three children: Canice, Zenaida, and Oran. If Father had time for hobbies they would include film, literature, theatre, hiking, and football.
